Tania Bacum /Ucrania /Ukraine
BodyNotbody
Is a project in which Tania explores the human body as a sculptural form devoid of personal identity. She investigates the boundaries of physical form and its perception. The body loses its personal traits and transforms into a pure form, which does not belong to a specific person. Tania places the bodies in a natural environment, where a dialogue takes place between the nudity and the natural textures and forms. The project combines photography, performance with the main medium being cyanotype on glass. This technique allows Tania to create the images of the human body that become more abstract and sometimes nearly unrecognizable. The creation of the works for the exhibition was funded by the 2024 Cultural Scholarship of the City of Gdańsk for individuals.
