Acerca de la serie: Double Exposure
Comencé mi serie Double Exposure sobre la guerra el 26 de febrero, dibujando los eventos superpuestos de mi vida personal como civil con las imágenes de los medios de comunicación de las noticias traumáticas de la guerra a gran escala que envolvió a mi país, Ucrania. Desde entonces, he estado haciendo un dibujo por cada día. Como la invasión rusa aún está en curso y se está extendiendo, a veces dejo solo una capa de la imagen cuando la guerra me rodea y me involucra por completo. Durante esos tres años de la guerra ruso-ucraniana a gran escala, continué el diario de doble exposición para documentar la vida del civil durante la guerra, como testigo que obtiene agencia: siendo un consumidor distante de las noticias mientras estaba en el extranjero, todavía estaba muy involucrado como ciudadano de mi país. Ahora intento mostrar la serie para contarle al mundo exterior sobre la guerra en Ucrania a través de mi experiencia personal. Asumo el papel de embajador para involucrar a la gente y crear conciencia sobre la importancia de una posición firme (junto con decisiones y acciones) sobre esta guerra, ya que es una batalla por los valores humanos y la libertad contra países totalitarios, y el resultado de esta lucha tendrá un inmenso impacto en el mundo.
Inga Levi
Inga Levi, nació en Kiev, Ucrania, en 1986 y reside en Kiev. Estudió ilustración de libros en la Facultad de Edición de la Universidad Politécnica de Kiev. Se graduó en 2011. Estudió Arte Contemporáneo en la Academia de Artes de Medios de Kiev. Se graduó en 2021. Se graduó en la Facultad de Medios de la Academia de Bellas Artes de Gdansk, Polonia, con una maestría en 2024. El interés por el espacio urbano, la arquitectura y el arte monumental se refleja en la práctica artística, como el trabajo con el paisaje urbano, el mosaico y el activismo para la conservación de obras de arte monumental. A partir de 2022, desarrolla proyectos relacionados con la guerra y la memoria.

About the series: Double Exposure
I started my Double Exposure series about the war on February 26, drawing the overlapping events of my personal life as a civilian with the media images of the traumatic news of the large-scale war that engulfed my country, Ukraine. Since then, I have been drawing a picture for every day. As the Russian invasion is still ongoing and spreading, I sometimes leave only one layer of the image when the war surrounds and involves me completely. During those three years of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, I continued the double exposure diary to document the civilian's life during the war, as a witness who gets agency: being a distant consumer of the news while abroad, I was still very much involved as a citizen of my country. Now I try to show the series to tell the outside world about the war in Ukraine through my personal experience. I take on the role of an ambassador to engage people and raise awareness about the importance of a firm stance (along with decisions and actions) on this war, as it is a battle for human values and freedom against totalitarian countries, and the outcome of this fight will have an immense impact on the world.

In 2018-2019, she is a mosaic artist and representative of the author V. Melnichenko in the artistic part of the restoration of the fountain of the Kyiv Children and Youth Palace “Stars and Constellations” (1963-65, by A. Rybachuk and V. Melnichenko). Since 2015, she has been a member of the group for the preservation of the photographic archive of the Hutsula artist Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit. She works with graphics, painting, installation and transdisciplinary arts. Interest in urban space, architecture and monumental art is reflected in artistic practice, such as working with urban landscape, mosaic and activism for the conservation of monumental artworks. From 2022, he develops projects related to war and memory.
